Hyderabad: MMC reviews road widening at Habsiguda, Uppal junctions

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy on Saturday directed officials to prepare a comprehensive blueprint to ease traffic congestion, widen roads and improve connectivity at Habsiguda and Uppal X Roads.

During a visit of Habsiguda X Roads in Nacharam Circle, he reviewed junction improvements, road-widening possibilities and traffic-management measures and asked officials to assess whether vehicles could be diverted through internal colony roads at suitable locations to reduce congestion.

At Uppal X Roads in Uppal Circle, Reddy and MMC projects engineering wing officials reviewed land acquisition proposals to develop left-hand and right-hand approach roads parallel to Metro Rail corridor for the proposed Uppal flyover.

He directed engineering officials to propose measures to improve road connectivity and traffic flow in Uppal.
