Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly killed her three-year-old son after the child reportedly refused to eat.
The woman, Udaya (24), was living in Jeedimetla along with one Bhaskar, after she got estranged from her husband Suresh. On Tuesday afternoon, she beat her son Umesh severely on his head and body resulting in serious injuries. The child died later.
“She told us that she had beaten the child as he was reluctant to eat food despite persuading,” said K Balraj, Inspector (Jeedimetla). The police have shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for autopsy and a case has been registered.
