Hyderabad: In the wake of the recent terror attack at Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, elaborate security arrangements were made by the Hyderabad Police at Mecca Masjid in Charminar in view of the prayers on Friday.
Law and order police, along with the Rapid Action Force (RAF), were deployed at various spots monitoring the situation closely to ensure peace and safety.
DCP (South Zone) Sneha Mishra personally oversaw the security arrangements at the historic site.
Earlier, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has appealed to Muslims to wear black ribbons during Friday prayers as a mark of solidarity and mourning for the victims of the Pahalgam attack.
Several people were seen offering prayers wearing black ribbons. After the prayers, they raised slogans condemning the Pahalgam attack.
