Hyderabad: Lotus Hospital celebrated its 15 anniversary on Wednesday. Dr VSV Prasad, CEO, Lotus Hospital and Dr Hema Prasad, CMD, Lotus Hospital inaugurated a new wing of the hospital on the occasion, which will provide modern medical services — in departments including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, laparoscopic surgery, critical care and general medicine — at an affordable cost to the patients.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr VSV Prasad said the hospital’s maternity and pediatric departments were inaugurated by former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajashekhara Reddy on November 10, 2006. Back then, the pediatric wing was equipped with 150 beds — making it the largest hospital in southeast Asia. Since then the maternity and pediatric departments have provided medical services to over 10 lakh patients.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, all the super speciality departments at the hospital will offer free doctor consultation from November 10 to 25 and a 15 per cent discount will be given on all types of medical services at the hospital including blood tests, pharmacy, radiology and in-patient treatments, a press release said.
