Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-based NGO, VOICE4Girls is holding the second phase of ‘Her VOICE’ camps – ‘Disha’ for 72 girls at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society / Junior College, Chevella, for 10 days.

During the camp, girls are taught about topics such as education, future planning, gender and sexuality, consequences of early marriage and pregnancy, nutrition, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health, a press release said.

By conducting camps, VOICE4Girls works to empower marginalised adolescent girls in government and low-cost private schools in India, it said.

Executive director Anusha Bharadwaj said as VOICE’s roots continue to reach the crevices of the communities, its impact and purpose becomes clearly visible in the sector. “VOICE’s journey is the amalgamation of stories and experiences of adolescent girls, who are ready to take on the world,” Anusha added.
