Hyderabad: NOTA secures 922 votes in Jubilee Hills bypoll counting

Hyderabad: In the Jubilee Hills bypoll, the NOTA (None of The Above) option secured 922 votes, according to the official results announced on Friday. The counting process, which took place under tight security, revealed that some voters preferred NOTA as against the candidates in the fray.
From the first round of vote counting for the bye-election, NOTA votes were counted alongside major parties and independent candidates’ votes, Returning Officer P Sairam officially said. After the completion of 10 rounds of counting, he said 922 votes were polled under the NOTA.
