Hyderabad: The National Security Guard conducted a mock security exercise at Birla Temple, on Tuesday night, as part of its continuous efforts to enhance preparedness and response capabilities at sensitive and high-footfall locations.
The exercise aimed to validate standard operating procedures, assess threat response mechanisms and strengthen coordination among security stakeholders in the event of a terror-related contingency.
The mock scenario involved simulated threat conditions to test rapid intervention, area domination, evacuation and neutralisation procedures in a religious and public place setting.
Highly trained NSG commandos demonstrated swift deployment, tactical movement and effective threat containment during the exercise.
The drill was conducted in close coordination with local police and temple authorities, ensuring safety and minimal inconvenience to devotees and the general public.
