Hyderabad: Online job fraudsters dupe people of Rs 27 lakh
According to the police, Buchi Ramulu of Lotkunta in Alwal got in touch with some persons who claimed to be working with Limtix Info Tech and collected Rs 27 lakh from 40 persons offered ‘Captcha Job’
Hyderabad: The cybercrime police registered a case against conmen who duped around 40 persons on pretext of offering home based online work and collected around Rs 27 lakh from them.
According to the police, Buchi Ramulu of Lotkunta in Alwal got in touch with some persons who claimed to be working with Limtix Info Tech and offered ‘Captcha Job’.
“The conmen collected Rs 50,000 from him initially and assigned him some online work. Afterwards, the gang convinced him to join more members and earn profit. Believing this, the victim convinced his friends to join and altogether they paid Rs 27 lakh to the conmen,” said K V M Prasad, ACP Cybercrime Hyderabad.
After realising they were cheated, the victims approached the police and lodged a complaint.
