Hyderabad: Organs of 54-year-old brain-dead man donated under Jeevandan

The wife of the carpenter, Bejjenki Vijaya made the decision to donate the organs of her brain dead husband. The donor liver and two kidneys were donated to three needy patients under Jeevandan initiative.

Hyderabad: Family members of a 54-year-old carpenter Bejjenki Sadanandam, a resident of Indira Nagar, Shamshiguda, Kukatpally, who was declared as brain dead by attending doctors, have agree to donate organs under Jeevandan organ donation drive. The carpenter had suddenly collapsed at his home after complaining of giddiness. He was shifted to a hospital where the attending doctors declared him as brain dead on Wednesday. The wife of the carpenter, Bejjenki Vijaya made the decision to donate the organs of her brain dead husband. The donor liver and two kidneys (three organs in all) were donated to three needy patients under Jeevandan initiative.
