Hyderabad: Organs of brain dead woman donated by family members
On the morning of November 28, Bairu Anjamma complained of giddiness and collapsed. Her relatives rushed her to a hospital and she was declared as brain dead on December 3.

Hyderabad: Family members of a 68-year-old housewife, Bairu Anjamma, a resident of Tangad Palle, Choutuppal Mandal, Nalgonda, who was declared as brain dead, have donated her organs to needy patients under State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.
On the morning of November 28, Bairu Anjamma complained of giddiness and collapsed. Her relatives rushed her to a hospital and she was declared as brain dead on December 3. Anjamma’s son, B Sudarshan gave consent to donate her organs, Jeevandan in a press release said. The doctors retrieved liver, two kidneys and two corneas (in all 5 organs) and allocated them to needy patients based on organ donation guidelines.
