Hyderabad: Over 1500 amateur runners and fitness enthusiasts turned up at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad, on Sunday to take part in the ‘XL Runathon-2025’, a running event organised by XLRI, on the occasion of its 75-year-old milestone.

Runners from various age groups participated in the XL Runathon-2025, which featured 10K, 5KM and 2K run events. “The XL Runathon marks XLRI’s strategic expansion in South India with its upcoming campus at Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh,” a press release said.

The proceeds of the run, which was flagged off by Dr Hariharan, an XLRI alumnus (Batch of 1988) and a veteran of over 70 international marathons, along with Ranaveer Sinha (Global President – XLRI Alumni Association), will support free education initiatives for underprivileged individuals.

Ranaveer Sinha said, “This is the highest participation we have witnessed across the ten Runathons conducted across the country since last year.”
