Hyderabad: Over 200 UPSC aspirants trained by Additional DGP Mahesh Bhagwat shine in 2024 results

Hyderabad: Continuing his service beyond uniform, Additional DGP (L&O), Mahesh M Bhagwat aided over 200 candidates from across the country to crack Civil Services Examination 2024.
In the results announced by the union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday, three candidates in top 10 ranks, including second ranker Harshita Goyal of Baroda and Aakash Garg from Delhi, were mentored for personality test (interviews) by Bhagwat and his team of mentors.
Overall, 200 candidates trained by this top police officer and his team figured in the final selection list of 1,009. Among top 100 rankers are Nandanaa GP (47), Sourav Sinha (49), Lavanya Gaur (57), Vidyanshu Shekhar Jha (59), Chintakindi Shravan Kumar Reddy (62), Aditi Sanjay Chougule (63), Sai Chaitanya Jadhav (68), Abhishek Singh (78), Vivek Shinde (93), and Tejasvi Prasad Deshpande (99).
Since 2015, Bhagwat and his team of mentors comprising officers from IRS, IPS and IFS among others have been a guiding force for civil services aspirants for their interview preparation.
The aspirants are offered free training and guidance both in person and online via WhatsApp. Based on the candidate’s profile, Bhagwat and his team of mentors, prepare a set of probable questions that could be asked in the Civils personality test. The team also helps candidates frame their answers in order to crack the interview.
“Based on my biodata, Mahesh Bhagwat helped me with probable questions. His guidance has really been helpful for the interview,” said Jayasimha Reddy.
Bhagwat who congratulated candidates expressed his gratitude to mentors who assisted him in the mentoring. “We are just giving back to society,” he said.
The team also extends training for Indian Forest services and Assistant commandant CAPF exam interviews conducted by the UPSC. So far, around 2,500 candidates benefitted from interview preparation and achieved success.
