Hyderabad: Hare Krishna Golden temple celebrated Panihati Chida-Dahi, the festival of honouring chipped rice and yogurt prasadam, at its Banjara Hills premises on Wednesday. Many devotees from all parts of the city participated in the festival and received Lord’s divine blessings.
According to a press release, the celebrations started in the evening with Abhishekam to Sri Nitai Gauranga, devotee incarnations of Lord Balarama and Lord Sri Krishna, with panchamritha, Harinam sankeerthan, pravachan, maha mangala aarthi followed by a delicious feast.
Chida-Dahi Mahotsava is an occasion to remember how the Lord mercifully reciprocated with His devotees by arranging to provide a feast of yogurt and chipped rice along with various other nectarian foodstuffs, a press release said. Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, president of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad said, “the festival which shows us the way to get the blessings of Lord, i.e by serving his beloved devotees.”
