Hyderabad: A domestic passenger was arrested at RGIA on Monday night, allegedly after security personnel found two live bullets in his luggage during screening.

According to airport authorities, the domestic passenger identified as K Madhubabu, a resident of Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam, had come to Hyderabad on personal work and was preparing to return home on an IndiGo flight.

During routine security checks, airport staff detected two live rounds in his bag.

When questioned, the passenger allegedly failed to produce valid documents or authorisation for possessing the ammunition.

Security officials immediately alerted the local RGIA police, who took him into custody.

A case has been registered, and police are investigating how the bullets came into his possession and whether any weapon licences were involved.
