Hyderabad: Pavement dwellers fight over money, one killed
According to the police, the victim, identified as Reddy (40), stayed on the pavement near Victory Playground under the Afzalgunj police station limits.
Hyderabad: A scuffle between two footpath dwellers over money escalated and ended in murder at Afzalgunj on Tuesday morning.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Reddy (40), stayed on the pavement near Victory Playground under the Afzalgunj police station limits.
On Tuesday morning, Reddy and Michael, who also lives there, picked up a quarrel over money during which Michael took a stick and hit Reddy on the head. The victim, in a bid to escape, ran from the spot only to collapse and die a few metres away, the Afzalgunj police said.
The police shifted the body for autopsy to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary. A case was registered and efforts are on to nab Michael, who is absconding.
