Hyderabad: PD Act invoked against woman involved in human trafficking

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police invoked the PD Act against a woman who was involved in human trafficking. Dasari Meena of Keesara was caught by the Rachakonda Police on charges of human trafficking and prostitution along with three other organisers. The police had rescued a minor girl following the raid on a prostitution den in Jawaharnagar in March.

On Saturday, the Rachakonda Police served the PD Act orders on her at the Special Prison for Women in Chanchalguda where she is lodged. Meanwhile, the police invoked the PD Act against a property offender cum extortionist, Ramavath Naresh, who was involved in two offences in LB Nagar police station limits in January, and was arrested in April.
