Hyderabad: Pedestrian killed after being hit by speeding oil tanker in Meerpet

A 65-year-old pedestrian, P Lakhupathi, died after a speeding oil tanker hit him while he was crossing the road at Mandamallamma crossroads in Meerpet on Sunday. Police shifted the body for post-mortem and registered a case against the tanker driver.

Hyderabad: A pedestrian died while crossing the road at Mandamallamma crossroads at Meerpet on Sunday.

The victim, P Lakhupathi (65), a resident of Balapur and a native of Nalgonda district, was crossing the road when an oil tanker vehicle hit the man at high speed. The man suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.


On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem examination to mortuary. A case is registered against the driver of the oil tanker and an investigation is going on.
