Hyderabad: Pilot accused of sexually assaulting cabin crew member in Bengaluru hotel
A 26-year-old cabin crew member alleged that a senior pilot sexually assaulted her at a Bengaluru hotel during an overnight stay on November 18. She lodged a complaint in Hyderabad, where a Zero FIR was filed and transferred to Bengaluru police for investigation
Hyderabad: A pilot of a chartered flight had allegedly sexually assaulted a 26-year-old cabin crew member at a five-star hotel in Bengaluru.
The survivor, who was in Bengaluru for work, later approached the Begumpet Police Station and lodged a complaint.
As per information available, the incident is said to have occurred on November 18 when the suspect Rohit Saran (55) had flown to Hyderabad along with the woman and another pilot, reportedly after completing a chartered flight between Begumpet and Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh.
The crew had checked into the hotel in Bengaluru for an overnight stay before their scheduled return flight to Puttaparthi the next morning.
The complainant alleged that the suspect pulled her into his room and sexually violated her. She lodged a complaint with the police on arriving in Hyderabad.
The Begumpet police registered a ‘Zero FIR’ and transferred it to the Halasuru Police Station in Bengaluru, on point of jurisdiction, for further investigation.
