Hyderabad: PJTAU celebrates Agriculture Education Day in grand manner
Participating in the event, Research director and PG studies dean, Dr. Raghurami Reddy emphasized the importance of agriculture and encouraged students to develop an interest in it from a young age.
Hyderabad: The Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, has celebrated Agricultural Education Day in a grand manner here on Tuesday. The event was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first president and agriculture minister Dr. Babu Rajendra Prasad.
Participating in the event, Research director and PG studies dean, Dr. Raghurami Reddy emphasized the importance of agriculture and encouraged students to develop an interest in it from a young age.
The event included stalls set up by postgraduate students and PhD scholars. Debate and drawing competitions were also organised for school students. Over, 2,000 students from 27 schools visited the stalls and agricultural fields, showing keen interest in various aspects of agriculture.
PJTAU registrar D Shivaji, College of Agriculture, Rajendra Nagar, associate dean, Dr Narender Reddy, OSA Dr Prashanth, UG, PG and PhD students and faculty members also participated in the event.
