The Hyderabad Police have advised residents to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel following the IMD's forecast of heavy rainfall until Monday night. Motorists have been urged to avoid waterlogged roads, drive cautiously and follow official weather and traffic advisories.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police have issued an advisory urging citizens to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel following the forecast of heavy rainfall until Monday night from India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad.
“Residents are requested to stay alert and avoid venturing out unless absolutely necessary. Those who are already outside should complete their work at the earliest and return home safely before the intensity of the rain increases,” Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar said.
The Commissioner cautioned people against travelling through waterlogged roads and low-lying areas, warning that such routes could become dangerous during heavy rainfall.
Motorists have been advised to drive slowly, maintain safe distances from other vehicles and exercise extra caution on slippery roads. The police also appealed to citizens to follow official weather updates and traffic advisories and cooperate with emergency response agencies.
