Hyderabad Police and Excise dept seize 150 Nitravet tablets in major raid at Habeebnagar
In a big joint operation involving around 150 policemen, the Hyderabad police in coordination with the Prohibition and Excise Department sleuths raided two houses at Manger Basthi at Habeebnagar and seized 150 Nitravet tablets on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: In a big joint operation involving around 150 policemen, the Hyderabad police in coordination with the Prohibition and Excise Department sleuths raided two houses at Manger Basthi at Habeebnagar and seized 150 Nitravet tablets on Wednesday.
On reliable information, the Habeebnagar police along with policemen from neighbouring police stations falling in Asifnagar division, three platoons from City Armed Reserve headquarters conducted a raid at two houses. The police found the drug peddlers Kunjilal and Makkan Lal absconding while 150 Nitravet tablets were seized. The operation lasted for nearly two hours. The sleuths of the Prohibition and Excise Department were also present during the operation.
The huge police presence was necessitated following a previous incident when a sub inspector was attacked by drug peddlers with liquor bottle. The sub inspector suffered head injury and was hospitalized.
