Hyderabad: Police arrest 10 presons for gambling in Begum Bazar

Hyderabad: The Goshamahal police apprehended 10 persons for allegedly organising and participating in an illegal card game at Begum Bazar Chatri in the early hours of Sunday.
According to police, a team raided a house at Begum Bazar Chatri and reportedly found 10 persons playing three cards game for money and seized Rs.1,18,800 in cash, a pack of 52 playing cards, casino-style tokens and three hookah pots along with hookah coils and an electric stove.
The police identified Shyam Sunder and Ghanshyam Das Karwa as persons who allegedly facilitated the gaming activity. The other eight persons were allegedly participating in the game. Police said some of those apprehended had been previously involved in gaming, excise and other criminal cases.
