Hyderabad police arrest five for bike thefts, recover 22 motorcycles worth Rs 42 lakh
The Jagathgirigutta Police arrested five men for allegedly stealing 22 motorcycles across Hyderabad, recovering bikes worth Rs 42 lakh. The gang, led by Sridhar, targeted vehicles in multiple areas and sold them to a receiver in Guntur.

Hyderabad: The Jagathgirigutta police on Saturday arrested five persons who were allegedly involved in cases of motorcycle theft and recovered 22 bikes worth Rs.42 lakhs from them.
The arrested were identified as Gollapally Sridhar, Midde Veera Kaushik Goud, Katta Manikanta, Guthula Srinivas and Shaik Nagur Vali.
According to the police, the gang on August 24 stole a software professional’s KTM 250 Duke parked near a wine shop at Jagathgirigutta and sold it to a receiver Shaik Nagur. On a complaint, from the bike owner Gafoor, the police formed special teams and caught Sridhar, who admitted to have stolen the vehicle with the help of his associates.
“Sridhar, Kaushik, Manikanta and Srinivas had stolen 22 bikes from Allapur, Borabanda, Jagathgirigutta, and KPHB police station areas. The bikes were sold to Shaik Nagur of Guntur,” said ACP Balanagar, P Naresh Reddy.
The arrested persons are produced before the court and remanded.
