Hyderabad police arrest three for drug peddling, seize MDMA and LSD
Hyderabad police arrested three people, including a software employee and an event manager, for allegedly selling drugs sourced via the dark web. MDMA, LSD, hydroponic ganja, and cash were seized. A customer was also detained.
Hyderabad: A software employee, a bike taxi driver, and an event manager were arrested by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing of the city police for allegedly selling drugs. The police seized 22 grams of hydroponic ganja, 5 grams of MDMA, ecstasy pills – 5.57 grams, LSD blots – 6 and cash Rs 50,000.
The arrested are Ummidi Immanuel (25), event manager, Sushmitha Devi (21), software employee, and Gorla Sai Kumar, a bike taxi driver.
According to the police, Immanuel was procuring the drugs through the dark web and supplying them to customers through his live-in partner, Sushmitha Devi Sai Kumar was also procuring drugs from Immanuel and selling them to customers.
“The payments for drugs were made through cryptocurrency and the suppliers sent the parcels containing drugs through courier services to Immanuel and Sushmita Devi,” said Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath.
A customer, Talabattula Taraka (24), was also caught by the HNEW in the case, while efforts are on to identify and nab the remaining customers.
