Hyderabad police await autopsy report in Narayanguda sisters’ death case

Hyderabad police are awaiting forensic reports in the deaths of two sisters from Narayanguda who fell ill after consuming food, including mangoes. Investigators are examining all possible causes and gathering information from family members and friends to determine what happened.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police are awaiting the autopsy report of the two girls, Bhuvaneshwari and her younger sibling Sandhya, who died reportedly due to food poisoning early this week.

The two siblings, who were residents of Narayanguda, had consumed food including mangoes on Sunday and later developed health issues. They were admitted to a local hospital by their parents, and during treatment, Bhuvaneshwari passed away on Monday while the younger girl, Sandhya, died on Tuesday.

It was reported that on Sunday the girls picked up a few mangoes found near their house and had consumed them. Later, in the evening, they fell ill and started vomiting and suffered stomach problems. The Narayanguda police registered a case and started an investigation.

A senior official of the Hyderabad police said that they are awaiting the autopsy report from the forensic experts. “In a day or two, we will be getting the preliminary report and based on that we would know how they had died,’ said the official.

The police also came to know that the girls had food outside somewhere and are collecting more details from their family members and friends about it.
