Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand asks cops to ensure incident-free Holi, second Friday of Ramzan

Suggests that police pickets be set up in sensitive, important areas of each zone, says advanced measures have been taken to ensure smooth conduct of both festivals

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand held a video conference with the police officers across the commissionerate on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said after about 35 years, Holi and the second Friday of the month of Ramzan have come on the same day.

Therefore, he suggested that police pickets be set up in sensitive and important areas of each zone. He said that advance measures have been taken to ensure the smooth conduct of both festivals.

The Commissioner further asked the police officers to take advance measures and be careful to prevent any untoward incidents. He suggested that a tight vigil be set up on anti-social forces and vagabonds.

Additional CP Law and Order Vikram Singh Mann and DCP Special Branch Chaitanya Kumar, among other officers, participated in the video conference.
