Hyderabad CP Anjani Kumar honoured him with a memento for his sincerity and honesty during passport verification
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Friday appreciated R Ramakrishna, a Special Branch constable and honoured him with a memento for his sincerity and honesty during passport verification.
Kumar Tipirneni, chairman with a reputed company in Gujarat and now residing in Jubilee Hills, had recently appreciated Ramakrishna’s honesty and said the officer from the west zone had visited his home for police verification for passport renewal.
“I found Ramakrishna to be very courteous, sincere, and helpful. In appreciation, I complimented him and offered him a tip. He refused it despite my urging, saying that, as a principle, he does not accept any money outside his salary for work done,” he said.
“Having worked for about five decades in various capacities in the private sector and retiring as chairman of a listed company, I have wide experience in dealing with and assessing people. I can see Ramakrishna is a gem of a person and is a credit to the Police Department, of whom you can be proud even if he is at the bottom of the pyramid,” he added.
