Hyderabad police cracks down on Chinese manja, seize 6,226 bobbins
Hyderabad police have registered 103 cases and arrested 143 people for selling Chinese manja, seizing 6,226 bobbins. Special teams and local cops conducted raids on shops, godowns, and online platforms to enforce the ban.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police registered 103 cases and arrested 143 persons for selling Chinese manja. A total of 6226 bobbins of Chinese manja was seized.
VC Sajjanar, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, said the sale and use of Chinese manja is banned and attracts legal action.
The Hyderabad police since last one month is keeping a watch on those who are involved in the trade of Chinese manja. Both the special teams and local police are conducting raids on shops and godowns in the city to seize the manja.
Cases are registered against Environment Protection Act and BNS Act.
“In every case a detailed investigation team is being done to identify the source of the Chinese manja,” said Sajjanar.
The Hyderabad police are keeping a watch on e-commerce websites and other platforms and case will registered against the managements also. He asked people not to use the Chinese manja as it attracts legal action.
