Hyderabad: The continuous one-way vehicular movement around the KBR Park in the heart of the city commenced on Tuesday morning.
The one-way traffic movement is being enforced by the city police to facilitate construction of a series of flyovers and underpasses around the National Park on the first day commuters struggled to find their way along the stretch.
The busy office hours traffic on the entire stretch that rings the sprawling KBR Park caused consternation among the commuters. At most places, with the usual exits and entries restricted, the commuters went in the circle seeking their way.
The traffic police personnel at key points guided the motorists even as jams popped up at different points along the road. For many who were not part of the trial run by the police, the chaos was greater.
A senior police official said there would be some confusion initially till the motorists get acquainted with the route map. “Our personnel are there to guide and direct. In a day or two, it will get streamlined,” said the official.
