Hyderabad police seize 414 LPG cylinders in black market crackdown

Hyderabad Police’s Commissioner’s Task Force caught 10 individuals, including a gas agency operator, allegedly diverting LPG cylinders for black-market sale. Authorities seized 414 cylinders, vehicles, and trolleys. A case is registered at Banjara Hills police station.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force team caught 10 persons who were allegedly diverting LPG cylinders and selling them to people at a premium price. The police seized 414 LPG gas cylinders, two DCM vehicles and eight auto trolleys from them.

Acting on tip off, the police caught Mohd Aamir (42), Mohd Yousuf (22), Mohd Ismail (27), A Rama Rao (42), all gas delivery boys, and Lok Kumar (24), Mohd Sakruddin (42), Mohd Mumtaz Ansari (42), Mohd Minhaj Ansari (35), Rajesh Pal (36) and Ram Raj Singh (54), all agents and residents of Banjara Hills.


According to the police, Mohd Aamir is running a HP gas agency named ‘Metro Gas Agency’, and diverting the gas meant for commercial supply into black market and earning profits illegally.

A case is registered at Banjara Hills police station against the persons.
