Hyderabad police seize nearly 2,000 counterfeit SKF bearings in raids
Hyderabad Police raided shops in Ranigunj and Secunderabad, seizing nearly 2,000 counterfeit SKF bearings and 2,780 packaging sheets. The fake products posed risks to machinery safety. Police are investigating the supply chain and links in the counterfeit network.

Hyderabad: In a crackdown on the sale of counterfeit industrial products, the Hyderabad Police conducted raids at various shops in Ranigunj and seized a large quantity of fake bearings branded as SKF on Sunday.
Following a complaint from SKF Bearings, the Mahankali police in special teams carried out simultaneous searches at three establishments, including S V Tool & Bearing in Ranigunj, Bearing International in Ganji Complex, and A 2 Z Machinery Store in Secunderabad.
During the raids, officials seized approximately 1,987 counterfeit bearings along with around 2,780 outer packaging sheets bearing the SKF label.
Police said the fake products were being sold to unsuspecting customers, potentially compromising machinery performance and safety.
Cases were booked and officials are investigating to trace the supply chain and identify other links in the counterfeit network.
