Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police are now in the process of disseminating the voluminous data of phone conservations and Whatsapp chats of the eight persons including Chukwu Ogbonna David alias Tony, who were arrested last week in connection with the recently busted international drug racket.
Tony, a Nigerian, was supplying cocaine after sourcing it from African countries with the help of ‘Star Boy’, an international drug trafficker. Seven businessmen, who were buying the cocaine from Tony regularly and two office boys who helped their employer by providing SIM cards, were also arrested by the police.
A senior official of the Hyderabad Police said that the data seized by them from the arrested person is voluminous and they are disseminating it to find out who are the other persons and who are part of the chain.
According to the sources, a few more businessmen were identified by the police and a close vigil is being maintained on them. Meanwhile, the police are making efforts to nab two to three more persons from the city who are regular buyers of drugs.
The mobile phones which were seized from the suspects were verified and the gadgets were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for retrieval of data. The police found that Tony was regularly sending his agents to the city to supply drugs.
