Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police have traced the woman, who was feared to have been kidnapped by a group of persons from a hospital at Attapur on Tuesday night, triggering police action.
“The woman is safe. She was found at her residence in Chaderghat. The lady was not abducted or kidnapped; there were some issues between the woman and her friends, and it all happened because of that,” said Rajendranagar DCP, S Sreenivas.
On Tuesday night, the police were alerted by the hospital management about a woman being forcefully bundled into a car and taken away. The police teams then swiftly started searching for the car. The DCP Rajendranagar, S Sreenivas, also reached the place and supervised the operation to trace the car and rescue the women.
In the morning, the police finally managed to get the phone number of the woman from a supermarket located near the hospital. The woman, before entering the hospital, went to the supermarket and, after purchasing, made online payments.
The police then located the phone number to Chaderghat and found the woman was sitting relaxed at her house. The police then recorded the statement of the woman and questioned a few of her friends who had taken her away in the car.
The Attapur police had registered a case of a woman kidnapping in the night after the incident. The teams of the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force had also joined the operation following uproar on social media.
