The incident reportedly took place in full public view, with bystanders witnessing the group forcibly taking the woman away.
Following the incident, DCP Ch Srinivas reached the spot and reviewed the situation. Police officials are examining CCTV footage from the area to determine whether it was an actual kidnapping or if there were other circumstances behind the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman seemed to be known to the young men involved.
The Attapur police are now looking into the possibility that she may have had prior acquaintance with them.
