Hyderabad Rains: GHMC issues rain advisory and urges residents to stay indoors
With heavy rains lashing Hyderabad, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan urged residents to stay indoors unless necessary. Monitoring the situation from the control room, he announced employee leave cancellations and issued safety, traffic, and complaint registration guidelines for citizens.

Hyderabad: In view of the heavy rains, the GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan on Wednesday afternoon advised the people to remain indoors and avoid venturing out unless necessary.
The Commissioner visited the GHMC Control Room to monitor the rain situation and said “We are on high alert due to the rains in the city. Employee leaves have been cancelled.”
GHMC Advisory:
– Remain indoors and avoid going outside unless necessary.
– Register complaints via the GHMC App and Control Room, and GHMC officials will respond promptly.
– Do not open maanholes under any circumstances.
– Place special focus on traffic choke points, coordinating with police and Hydraa to prevent traffic jams.
-All senior officials were available at Headquarters.
-Relief activities to be overseen by the Deputy Commissioner and the local Tehsildar.
