Hyderabad RGI Airport customs seize monitor lizard, iguanas in wildlife smuggling case
Customs officials at Hyderabad’s RGI Airport arrested a passenger arriving from Bangkok for attempting to smuggle wildlife, including a monitor lizard, a two-headed red-eared slider turtle, and 16 iguanas. The seized species were returned to Bangkok.

Hyderabad: The customs officials at the RGI Airport, caught a passenger who was smuggling wildlife species into the country from Bangkok.
The officials seized a monitor lizard, a two headed red ear slider turtle, four green iguanas and 12 iguanas.

According to the officials, the man was intercepted at the airport on Saturday when he arrived by a flight from Bangkok.
The wildlife species were concealed in his checked in baggage. The items were seized and shifted back to Bangkok. The man was arrested.
