Hyderabad RWA member receives USA Burlington University Award

Hyderabad: A social worker and also a member of the United Federation of Residents Welfare Association (UFERWAS), which is an apex body handling 4,500 RWAs civic issues in Greater Hyderabad, K Raghavendra Rao received an Honoris Causa PhD in Business Management & Social Work with a Gold Medal.
Currently, he is a resident of Yapral and the general secretary of Srinivas Nagar RWA.
On Tuesday, he received an official communication regarding the conferred award and gold medal from the Registrar of Berligton State University, USA, Dr Laura Mae. The PhD award will be presented to Raghavendra Rao at a convocation ceremony held on October 12 in Delhi.
“This award is given in recognition of my services in various fields such as RWA activities, national RWA activities with the Confederation of Residents Welfare Association (CORWA), civil society groups, and dedicated Lionism with honesty and integrity to serve the needy in society,” said Rao.
K Raghavendra Rao retired as Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) in Air Defence System of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Between 2000-2021.
He was awarded best employee award in the Air Force in Air Force Station Salua during the year 2008.
He has been engaged in RWA activities of Uttam Nagar Colony for more than 12 years as Member, Secretary in Safilguda, Malkajgiri Constituency and accomplished various development work in Utttamnagar Colony.
