Hyderabad: Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary celebrated virtually
A special assembly on National Unity Day was conducted to support the cause of promoting unity and integrity in the country

Hyderabad: Akshara Vaagdevi International School in collaboration with Pallavi Model School celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. A special assembly on National Unity Day was conducted to support the cause of promoting unity and integrity in the country. Sub Inspector (Cyber crime) Cyberabad, Rajendra Koti and Asha Nurse from Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre graced the occasion as guests.
Rajendra rendered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge for the attendees. The police officials in his message shared the role of police during the Covid pandemic and how the Police department was helping the people of Hyderabad. Asha insisted and requested the people to follow the safety precaution to be adhered to saying that the Covid-19 is still prevalent and more precaution is need during winter.
Principal Vanaja said that we need to follow the determination and leadership qualities of Sardar Patel in our lives to achieve our goal and help in the nation’s progress. The Social Department headed by Manjula took the initiation of the programme. Anaya and Sasha of grade VIII compeered the programme.
Students’ works like essay writing, slogan writing, poster making, and quiz certificate were displayed on the occasion. Videos presented by the students on unity and diversity added to the spirit of the programme. Prateek of Grade VIII proposed a vote of thanks.
