Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally police on Saturday solved the murder case of Asad Khan, which was committed in broad daylight on Thursday, and arrested seven persons including a juvenile boy.
The murder, police said, was a revenge murder with the suspects being relatives and friends of one Mohammed Amjad Ali Khan, in whose murder Asad Khan was allegedly involved in. Police have seized four sickles and knives from them.
The arrested persons were Yaseen Khan, Mohd Adnan, Abdul Ali, Mohd Mahbub, Mohd Saddam, Mohd Shoaib and a 16-year-old boy, all residents of Vattepally in Mailardevpally.
According to the police, in September 2018, Asad Khan along with his accomplices allegedly killed Yaseen Khan’s father Amjad Ali Khan.
“Yaseen Khan then procured sickles and along with his associates, were waiting for a suitable opportunity to kill Asad Khan,” Shamsabad DCP N.Prakash Reddy said.
The suspects had actually plotted to kill Asad on Wednesday, but could not and on Thursday, when Asad Khan and his friend Eesar Bin Naser were on their way from Teegalakunta to Khan’s home in Shama Colony on his bike, they attacked him in broad daylight at Vattepally.
“They intentionally hit Asad’s bike with an auto-rickshaw and stabbed and hacked him to death with sickles and knives in full public view. He died on the spot,” the DCP said, adding that they also attacked Eesar Bin Naser before escaping in the same auto-rickshaw.
