Hyderabad She Teams intensified action against harassment in December 2025, receiving 98 complaints and registering 14 FIRs. Several offenders were arrested, counselled, or jailed, while awareness drives continued across the city and Malkajgiri police limits.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad She Teams stepped up action against harassment and stalking incidents in December 2025, leading to multiple arrests, convictions, and extensive awareness drives across the city.
According to She Team officials, a total of 98 complaints were received through WhatsApp, direct petitions, and social media during the month. Of these, 29 were referred to police stations, resulting in 14 FIRs, while the remaining cases are under legal process.
Through surveillance and decoy operations, 13 offenders, including two minors, were caught red-handed. Seven offenders were counseled and warned in the presence of family members, while nine petty cases were booked for serious misconduct.
Meanwhile, local courts awarded jail terms and fines in several cases, including multiple seven-day simple imprisonment sentences for harassment and online abuse. Cases involved misuse of personal data by a bike taxi rider, stalking by a neighbour, online blackmail through social media, and abusive online messaging, officials said.
Meanwhile, in the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate, She Teams nabbed 176 persons in 45 days for eve-teasing and harassment. Police registered criminal and petty cases, and provided counselling to offenders.
