Hyderabad: The 552nd Prakash Utsav, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, founder and first guru of Sikh religion, will be celebrated with grandeur on November 19. To mark the occasion, the Prabandhak Committee of Gurudwara Sahib, Secunderabad will organise a Vishal Deewan (mass congregation) at Classic Gardens, Balamrai, Secunderabad from 11 am to 4 pm on Friday.
Around 20,000 Sikh devotees will attend the event. S Baldev Singh Bagga, the president of Prabandhak Committee, said that the event would be marked by the recitations of Gurbani Kirtans (holy hymns) by Ragi Jathas (religious preachers) who are being specially invited from various parts of the country.
Noted preachers, Gyani Pinderpal Singhji, Bhai Amarjeet SInghji of Patiala, Bhai Onkar Singhji, Bhai Jagdev Singhji, Bhai Harpreet Singh and other reputed Ragi Jathas will recite Shabad Keertans and Kathas and preach about the teachings of Guru Nanak. Many other dignitaries will also attend the congregation.
The Vishal Deewan will be followed by Guru Ka Langar. The committee has also organised a medical camp at the venue.
