Hyderabad: The Kukatpally police solved the murder case of S Kiran Kumar (28), who was murdered and his body thrown into a lake last week, and arrested six persons.
Police said the prime suspect M Sai Kumar, a salon shop owner from Janatha Nagar who bore a grudge against Kiran Kumar after the latter created nuisance in his shop, killed him with the help of his friends.
Kiran Kumar, a resident of Moosapet, was jobless and addicted to alcohol. He often harassed relatives and friends for money to drink. He allegedly demanded money from Sai Kumar too. Police said Kiran was beaten to death on January 27, and his body thrown in the Maisamma Cheruvu.
His body was recovered a few days later and the police initially booked a case of a suspicious death. With autopsy revealing he was murdered, further investigation led to Sai Kumar and his accomplices.
