Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Economic Offences Wing (EOW) arrested six persons who were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to grab valuable government property with market value of Rs 600 crore, covering an extent of 12.09 acres of land. They allegedly created forged and fabricated documents, manipulating several records to falsely present them as genuine.
The arrested persons are Mohd Abdul Razzak, Naveen Kumar Goyal, J. Guru Sai Raj, Senior Assistant and In-charge Sub-Registrar, Ranga Reddy District, Mohd Abdul Adil, Syeda Kouser and Afsha Sara.
According to the police, the suspects forged documents and made illegal development agreements on government land valued at Rs 600 crore in collusion with the in-charge Sub-Registrar, Ranga Reddy District. The suspects have conspired to build a commercial-cum-residential mega complex with a built-up area of 19 lakh sft across 39 floors.
“An elaborate conspiracy to grab government land valued at Rs.600 crores in Raidurgam has been uncovered, involving forged documentation and manipulation of government records. Despite the land’s prohibitory status, the document was registered in Rangareddy District, suggesting collusion between private developers and officials and raising serious concerns of forgery and conspiracy,” senior officials said.
Telangana Leather Industries Promotion Corporation Limited (TSLIPCO) is the genuine owner and has been in possession of this government land in Raidurg Paigha village, Serilingampally Mandal for several decades. This land, measuring 12acres and 09 guntas, is a valuable government property located in a prime locality.
TSLIPCO recently entered into a lease agreement with the Telangana State Trade Promotion Corporation Limited (TSTPC) to construct a Unity Mall on 5.16 acres within the TSLIPC premises. The Government of India allocated Rs 202 crore for this project.
