Hyderabad: Six-year-old girl drowns in Saroornagar lake

Hyderabad: Six-year-old girl drowns in Saroornagar lake

Hyderabad: A six year old girl drowned in Saroornagar lake in the city on Monday evening.

The girl Akhita, lived along with her parents in a small tenement at Green Park colony near Saroornagar lake. Her parents are daily wagers.


On Monday evening, the girl was playing near the house and a little later when her mother noticed that she went missing. After searching around for some time, the parents approached the Saroornagar police station who registered a case of ‘girl missing’ and started efforts to trace her.

On Tuesday morning, the body of the girl was found floating in the Saroornagar lake. The police suspect the girl might have slipped into the lake and drowned on Monday.

A case is registered.
