Hyderabad: Two rat snakes were rescued from the CPL Ground, near City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar’s residence in Amberpet here on Tuesday.

The non-venomous snakes were spotted by the staff, who further alerted Venkatesh Naik, a constable from the Malakpet Traffic police station, who is also an expert in handling snakes.


Naik immediately rushed to the spot and caught the snakes and handed them over to the Zoo authorities.

Anjani Kumar, who appreciated Naik, honoured him with a memento and announced a cash reward to him.
