Hyderabad: The college club (SAEINDIA-SNIST) of Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST) in Hyderabad has excelled in two major national-level automotive contests.
With a team of 13 students, the club competed as ‘Mechanizers 41.0,’ led by Captain Gattu Suraj and Vice-Captain Kandregula Parvathish, in the SAE Northern India Section’s Efficycle championship in the advanced category for the 12th season.
The team was skillfully categorized to work on different aspects of the vehicle to develop an efficient, effective, and economically viable effi-cycle. The team eventually won the competition as the ‘All India Overall Champions and also won the prestigious title of ‘Virtual Dynamics Winner.’
The club also competed in the 6th season of the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers’ Indian Karting Race as Mechanizers 39.0, led by Captain Vishnu Prasad Reddy and Vice-Captain S Hemanth. It emerged victorious in the prestigious go-kart race, winning the titles of ‘Overall Second Runners Up,’ ‘Endurance Runners Up,’ and ‘Lightest Vehicle Award.’
