Hyderabad: Software employee killed in horrific road crash near Aziz Nagar
A 27-year-old software employee from Narsingi was killed on Tuesday evening in a road accident near Aziz Nagar on the Hyderabad–Bijapur Highway after a speeding car hit his vehicle from behind, pushing it into a truck coming from the opposite direction.
Hyderabad: A tragic road accident on the Hyderabad-Bijapur National Highway claimed the life of a 27-year-old software employee on Tuesday evening.
The mishap occurred near Mrugavani National Deer Park adjacent to Aziz Nagar, when the victim identified as Siddhartha, a resident of Narsingi in Gandipet, was proceeding in his car to play cricket in a ground in Moinabad.
According to the police, when Siddhartha’s car reached Aziz Nagar, another speeding car which was driven in a rash and negligent manner crashed into his vehicle from behind. The impact caused Siddhartha’s car to jump the road divider and collide head-on with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction towards the Outer Ring Road.
Due to the force of the collision, Siddhartha’s car was completely crushed, killing him on the spot.
The accident led to a major traffic jam on the busy highway. Other motorists who witnessed the incident informed the Narsingi police.
The police and rescue teams rushed to the spot. “We had to use great effort to retrieve the body from the wreckage,” said a police official from Narsingi.
The truck was later removed with the help of a crane and the victim’s body was shifted to the morgue.
