Hyderabad: Software engineer ends life fearing wife died after he slapped her

A software engineer in Hyderabad died by suicide after fearing that his wife had died during a domestic dispute. The couple had argued over a missing gold bracelet. Police confirmed that the wife later regained consciousness and is stable.

Hyderabad: A software engineer who was scared that his wife had died in his assault, died by suicide by hanging in his house in Rajendranagar on Sunday.

The couple identified as Kumaraswamy and Mounika, both natives of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh are married for a year now. After marriage, they have been living in Bhavani Colony in Bandlaguda Jagir.

According to the police, the couple had an argument over a missing gold bracelet and Kurmaraswamy became angry and slapped Mounika, following which she fell unconscious.

According to Inspector Castro, thinking that his wife had died due to his assault, Kumaraswamy got scared of the consequences and died by suicide by hanging in the house.

On being alerted by the neighbours, the Rajendranagar police reached the spot and shifted the body for autopsy.
