Hyderabad: The son of a noted Telugu film director has reportedly fallen victim to a major financial scam involving share market trading and ended up losing nearly Rs 63 lakh.

As per information available, a Hyderabad-based couple identified as Anusha and Praneeth, introduced themselves as experienced stock market experts and promised high returns through trading. To gain the victim’s confidence, they allegedly showed fabricated profit statements and assured him of substantial gains.

However, despite investing a large sum, he neither received the promised profits nor got his principal amount back. After repeated attempts to recover his money failed, he approached the police seeking legal action.

Based on a complaint lodged by him, the Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against the couple for allegedly cheating him.

Police are now investigating to trace the flow of funds and verify similar complaints, if any, against the accused.
