Hyderabad soon to get more 3,100 CCTV cameras

Hyderabad: Around 3,100 new CCTV cameras will be installed across all the three Commissionerates of Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyberabad soon.
City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, who is also the nodal officer for the ‘Safe City Project’ being implemented across the city, said the new CCTV cameras would be installed soon. “It will be of great help in strengthening the women safety initiatives of the three Commissionerates. It will help in surveillance, prevention and detection of cases,” he said.
The CCTV cameras will be installed at public places, busy thoroughfares and spots frequented by women. The Commissioner asked the Telangana State Technology Services to ensure speedy implementation of the scheme.
